Volunteer

It began with an idea, but is spreading into a community movement. One of the most frequent requests we receive is how can I help? Our volunteer program is designed to accommodate different abilities and preferences on where to chip in. Follow the simple steps below and you’ll be on your way to making a real difference 4PA!

STEP 1:

We want you to be prepared and truly enjoy your time, so please review what to expect when volunteering with our organization.

STEP 2:

We’ve organized, prepared, and listed out the expectations, but life can be unpredictable, so take a few minutes and REVIEW THE WAIVER BEFORE YOU SUBMIT to make sure everyone’s on the same page. You only need to sign and submit once and we will retain a copy for all future volunteer sign ups. Under 18 must be signed by an adult or legal guardian. Under 16 must be accompanied by an adult during volunteering.

STEP 3:

Choose a location to help maintain, select an available date, and sign up. It’s that easy! (Note: new dates are added quarterly) * denotes family friendly

Do our predetermined routes or schedule not work for you? 4PA can help you design your own route!

We have a desire to cover all 10.71 square miles of Port Angeles in order to have a clean and safe community we can all be proud of!

It’s definitely going to take a group effort, and even though we’ve created a great foundation we recognize our established routes don’t work for everyone. If that’s you, we’d love to help you design your own that fits your schedule, location, and ability!

Here’s the plan:

  • Pick a location near and dear to you that you’d love to maintain. Local neighborhoods or parks are a great place to start.

  • Attend one of our in-person training sessions at our new Touchstone Campus. Next one January 11th, 2025. Sign ups available at a later date. We’ll cover the basics of our operation, and share with your our experience and valuable tips on how to stay safe and have fun! People are always very interested in how we work with the unsheltered population of people living outside, so we’ll cover that too.

  • We’ll provide you with a sweet volunteer kit to let everyone know you’re 4PA! Kit includes bucket, garbage grabber, and high visibility safety vest.

  • Keep track of what you pick up (a simply bag count will do) and report back to us periodically. Pictures would be fantastic too!

  • Fill out the following form and we’ll be in touch!

THIS FORM IS ONLY FOR INTEREST IN DESIGNING YOUR OWN ROUTE. PLEASE DO NOT SUBMIT FOR GENERAL VOLUNTEER INQUIRIES. THANK YOU.
